I was living and working in Illinois and having my home built in Tellico Village. I was obviously worried about all of the endless details of building a new home. I was lucky enough that I had friends who lived in Tellico Village and were able to send me pictures of the progress of the home.

Working with Ashley and the Cook Brothers team helped make a difficult and stressful situation so much better. There were a lot of decisions and choices to make but Ashley and the team helped me make these decisions easier for me. One of the reasons I chose Cook Brothers is that they have a Design Center that saved me countless hours of time and expense of coming down and running around selecting everything. " Our realtor pointed out to my husband and I the great workmanship that Cook Brothers put into their homes including attention to detail, crown molding, many upgrades and esthetics that suit the style of the home. John Cook, the owner did a 90 minute walk-through with us explaining how all the systems work and answered all our questions. After the closing, there was a flash-drive waiting for us with all kinds of information including the names of all the manufactured products used, the paint colors from the exterior brick to the interior walls and trim. 'When we started exploring Tellico Village homes, we found ourselves drawn to Cook Bros. Homes.Their exterior designs and floor plans were very attractive and most of all, functional. On our very first trip to Tennessee, we found an inventory home that was currently under construction. After meeting with both John Cook at the home site, and Ashley Cook at the design center, we contracted to buy the home. We very much appreciated the time John spent with us, and Ashley's expertise in helping us with a few changes we asked to be made. When we arrived six weeks later, our home was complete. " First and foremost - we believe that our Cook Brothers home was and still is an Excellent Purchase. We believe we made the absolute right choice and received the Best Value and greatest home experience here in Tennessee.

A little background before I explain. We have moved every four to five years during my career and have rented, bought and remodeled, and purchased two new homes over the last 40 Years. Our remodeling efforts consist of kitchens and bathrooms to a complete tear down to frame and total rebuild on one home that we did ourselves.

We believe our Cook Brothers home is built to the highest standard in the industry. When I look at a house for purchase I make note of several items in the house to make sure that attention to detail is evident. Let me explain why I believe Cook Brothers builds a top Quality home:

When I look at the walls, each wall is straight as well as 'plum' meaning the wall is 90 degrees from the floor and straight - framing represents the bones and is a critical aspect of your house. I quickly realized when monitoring my house being built there was a lot of care in the framing. I walked the house during framing and was impressed with the framing team. The framing in my house is straight, level and plum!

The Drywall is very well done - excellent I might say. One thing to look at when evaluating drywall is to look at the walls in lighted angles to determine if the seams between drywall sheets show. One is looking for uneven surfaces showing in an ever slight shadow which means quick haphazard work. My house shows NO/NONE areas where the drywall sheets are joined."

Cabinetry is a must have attention to detail. We are very pleased with our cabinetry and can honestly say that our cabinets are installed with care as well as the utmost professionalism - its evident that attention to detail was followed with our cabinet installation. All cabinet seams are well done, very level, and our cabinets are of great quality. We were also present for our cabinet installation and we were impressed with our installers - the utmost professionalism with laser leveling!

The Trim in the house is some of the best that I have ever seen. ALL trim was turned back on itself which is somewhat uncommon. In most builds, trim carpenters usually just cut the end of the trim. Cook Brothers goes further where the trim is cut bak at 45 degrees and another piece cut at 45 degrees is placed at the end which gives the trim a very high quality look. It takes longer for trim carpenters too do this type of work and they must be willing to go the extra mile.

When I pull my pocket Doors closed I notice that the door is closed square - there is no gap between the top or the bottom of the door when closed. Its hard to get pocket doors correct and all of my doors (Three 3) are all well done and close nicely.

All of my regular doors are very well placed. What I mean is that all of the doors are spaced evenly at the closing edge. When you look at a closed door the gap between the door and the mold edge should all be equal and the same gap all around the door. All of our doors show equal gap as well as all close easily and stay put whenever we have them open at any angle. Again - attention to detail!

Windows are of high quality and open and close freely as well as the window trim is superior - see trim comments above.

Our heating and cooling is of very high quality. I have never been greeted and treated as good as I was when I had the HVAC Trade in our house for an 'after move in' final adjustment. What great people as well as superior tips and tricks to operate the HVAC system. In addition, the same HVAC trade installed the open cell blown in Foam insulation. I have seen this done several times from when I was living in the Northern USA. The insulation installer packed my house jam full of insulation and my utility bills are the lowest I have ever had anywhere that I have lived - ever!

Attention to detail is the Status Quo for Cook Brothers! And attention to detail will get you the highest quality, best value home.

Working with John Cook is both quick and professional. He and Ashley met and coordinated with us as the house was being built. I had commented to John that I wanted an extra electrical circuit placed for further enhancements to the back porch. John quickly understood what I was trying to do and he offered a different approach to my plans that in the long run will save me money as well as time and the solution will be better than I was originally planning. Just talk to John and Ashley - they will always take care of you.

I believe that Cook Brothers is very careful when they pick their subcontractors and Trades. I looked at other builders products when I considered moving to Tennessee and I decided that Cook Brothers homes was the only builder that I saw that showed me attention to detail and willing to go that extra distance. Glad that my home is a Cook Brothers Build! Great customer satisfaction with high quality work!

" Looking for a new home is a major task. Not knowing whether you should buy a already built house or to build to your specifications.

I first met Ashley Cook while looking at a home in St Thomas Subdivision. She was very open, friendly and provided invaluable information on the available homes in the area as well as Cook Bros Construction LLC.

Ashley's willIngness to assist me stayed with me. Fast forward over a year and with no luck finding the 'right' home, I made that call to Ashley about available lots and Cook Bros willingness to build my new home in the St Thomas Subdivision.

The Cook Bros website provided a wealth of information - available lots, testimonies, home designs, staff data, etc. Initially, Ashley and I communicated via telephone and email as I was in the process of selling a home out of state. With the advances in electronics, a lot of paperwork was reviewed and approved electronically. If there were questions, Ashley was available for clarification.

Once I moved to Tennessee the real work began. Cook Bros was instrumental in finding a lot that would accommodate the floor plan that I had chosen and in providing information about the owner of the property.

The staff provided you with more than enough information so that I was fully informed during the building of my home. Lindsay was exceptional in working with me in the selection of interior and exterior designs. The Design Room is without a doubt wonderful!

The remaining Cook Bros staff were always professional and very easy to work with.

"We would like to thank Cook Bros Homes and all of their team for building our dream home. We bought our property in Rarity Bay and a couple of years later were talking to some builders. Thought we had found one but then went to Rarity Bay and had gone through CBH's Parade Home that happen to be going on that weekend when we made the trip to Tn.. The home was beautiful. I knew at that point I had to talk to the builder. John happened to be there and I asked him if he would consider looking at our preliminary plans. As busy as he was he took the plans and said he would get back to us as soon as he could.
John and his team made everything as easy and simple for us as possible. Living in N.J., we were very nervous but they took care of everything they could including the permits.
I believe we were one of their first clients that use the new design studio. That's where we met the designer that was assigned to us, Lindsay. She is fantastic. She has the patience of a saint. We had never built a house before and hadn't a clue everything we had to go over in a couple of days. She showed us all our choices in our budget range which made it so much easier and if we wanted to up grade she then showed us more selections. The choices you have and the design studio are beautiful. Never did we think we would have all our selections made in the time frame we spent with Lindsay but she got us through it and could not have done it without her. Somewhat stressful but very exciting!! It was a lot of fun.

'We just completed making all of the exterior and interior design selections with designer Lindsay at the Cook Bros design studio. We were very pleased with the process. Samples of ALL options are right there at the design studio so exterior selections such as stone, brick, siding, paint, fixtures, etc. can be matched and viewed side-by-side. Same for the interior - flooring, cabinets, hardware, paint colors, backsplash, plumbing fixtures, lighting fixtures, etc. are available right there to compare and select.
